The Storytelling Society is a place where any childhood dream can come true. Through a series of art and story workshops for children aged 4-7, run by mother and daughter, Louisa Stylianidi and Christina Poulengeri, children improve literacy, imagination and creativity by engaging in art activities which relate to and are followed by visual stories animated and told through props.

The stories and children's' poems are original and written by Louisa Stylianidi and Christina Poulengeri and all rights are reserved by the Storytelling Society. 

The Storytelling Society runs online groups where a different interractive story is told each time, using props and puppets. It combines the art of listening to stories while letting the children's imagination run wild as they then create their own artworks and characters based on the stories they just heard. 

These workshops create and foster bonding experiences for the children and assist in making children fall in love with literature and storytelling, as well as art.

Louisa is an artist and art teacher with a license to teach from the Athens School of Fine Arts and an MFA in Fine Art from the University of London. She also holds a certificate in Braille and has taught art to blind children in Greece. She loves telling stories and believes in a material-based approach learning and the therapeutic power of art through  listening to and telling stories. Louisa also writes poems and makes art.

Christina is a history teacher with a BA and MA from Oxford University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from Bath University and is a self-taught artist. She was chosen for the Scholarship Course of the Drawing Intensive at the Royal Drawing School, London, has done a year-long painting course at ESOP, London and has her own painting practice. 

She has been teaching for more than 30 years and has been writing children's stories and poems for the Storytelling Society.
